Named one of the top 5 ski resorts on the continent by North America's Skiing Magazine, Fernie Alpine Resort features over 29 feet (that's nearly 9m) of snowfall each ski season, a good variety of ski-in and ski-out accommodations, plenty of winter activities, restaurants, bars, shopping and a spectacular Rocky Mountain setting. The ski resort features 112 runs, accessed by 10 lifts, on 2,504 acres of terrain.

Just over an hour away is Kimberley Alpine Resort. Kimberley is a favourite among visitors and families, who love having their own “private powder” at this resort known for its snow and sunny days. The friendly town of Kimberley has a distinct and charming Bavarian flavour, and also features excellent cuisine. Both resorts have a consistent winter season that lasts from December through April.

Fernie Alpine Resort and Kimberley Alpine Resort multi-day lift tickets are interchangeable, so you can enjoy two great resorts during your stay. Both resorts also feature top winter sports schools. Learn to ski with one of the certified pros, or treat yourself to a private mountain experience with First Tracks, where you a pro access the lifts one full hour before anyone else!

Direct US Air Service – Getting to Fernie is now even easier
We are pleased to announce new direct air service on Delta Airlines between Salt Lake City and the Canadian Rockies International Airport in Cranbrook, BC. This new service will commence on December 17, 2008, making it even easier to get to Fernie and Kimberley from the USA. The Canadian Rockies International Airport is just 60 minutes from Fernie Alpine Resort and only 20 minutes from Kimberley Alpine Resort. And don’t forget about the regularly scheduled flights from the UK direct to Calgary, Alberta, providing convenient access to both Fernie Alpine Resort and Kimberley Alpine Resort!
