Ski Sun Peaks
Gladed stashes of powder, wide open bowls and long rolling groomed cruisers traverse their way across the alpine on Tod Mountain, Sundance Mountain and Mt. Morrisey. One of the largest skiable areas in Canada, there are 122 runs and 3 terrain parks, offering guests of all abilities an exhilarating adventure.

Visit the “Top of the World” on Tod Mountain, where you’ll find knee-deep powder and breathtaking mountain views. Sundance Mountain plays home to terrain park fanatics and a great selection of beginner and intermediate pistes. Venture over to Mt. Morrisey, the newest of the three peaks, and you’ll uncover an abundance of gladed areas where fresh tracks are there for the taking even at the end of a powder day. To help you in your discovery are the local Sun Guides, providing complimentary mountain tours twice daily; they’ll take to you their favorite pistes and secret areas!
For something unique, try out First Trax Breakfast at the Sunburst Restaurant mid-mountain. Start with a hearty breakfast then choose your own piste and make fresh tracks all the way down! Have you ever skied with a headlamp? If not, then the International Fondue and Torchlight Descent may become your favorite après ski activity.
For a world-class experience, join Sun Peaks local Nancy Greene, Olympic Gold Medalist, for a complimentary mountain tour. Also of world-class stature are the Austrian Ski Team athletes, representing the best alpine ski team in the world. They arrive every November for early season training in preparation for the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada. Sun Peaks’ elevation and geographic location provide average winter temperatures between -5 and -10 degrees Celsius, creating ideal conditions for any athlete or recreational skier or boarder. Off the slopes, experience an abundance of other winter activities, such as dog sledding, snow shoeing and snowmobiling. The award winning ski-through village, lined with charming covered walkways, is where you’ll find cafés and boutique shops. Join the locals and relax on a patio in the sunshine after a day on the mountain at one of the six slopeside pubs or restaurants. For accommodations, there are many ski-in, ski-out options located only steps away from the lifts.
