Getting to Bregenz by Rail then Taxi to Au Schoppernau

There are direct train services from Zurich airport to Bregenz (1 hour 25 minutes) three times daily, then allow approximately 1 hour to transfer by taxi from Bregenz to Au-Schoppernau and ask your hotel to arrange a taxi for you. Driving to Au Schoppernau

From Friedrichshafen airport take the B30/A96 direction Lindau / Bregenz, continue via the A14 motorway as far as Dornbirn Nord (exit 14) then follow the B200 sign-posted Brenzerwald to Au-Schoppernau. If flying into Memmingen (north of Friedrichshafen) you join the A96 higher up and follow the same southerly route to Austria via A14 as far as Dornbirn Nord then the B200 to Bregenzerwald.

Zurich is further to drive, but it’s an easy journey by car and with the advantage that there are many more flights daily so if you fly via Zurich you have more chance to ski both on the day of arrival and day of departure. From Zurich airport follow A1/A4/E41/A13 then cross the border into Austria at Diepoldsau and take A14/E16 motorway direction Bregenz / Innsbruck as far as the same Dornbirn Nord exit then follow B200 sign-posted Bregenzerwald as far as Au-Schoppernau.
