For 5-star luxury, you have to go a little outside of Mayrhofen to the Stock Resort in the nearby small village of Finkenberg which has its own ski lift. It combines fitness, health, beauty and wellness centres with gourmet dining, where possible using locally sourced organic food. There is also childcare on hand.

The 4-star Gutshof Zillertal near the centre of town is equidistant from almost all the lifts and also offers a morning shuttle to the Ahornbahn and Penkenbahn cable cars. The hotel has indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna and a solarium. The 4-star Hotel Edenlehen is in a quiet area on the edge of Mayrhofen but is only a  5-minute walk to the Penkenbahn cable car and only a 10-minute walk into the centre. But if that sounds too far, don’t worry – it also runs a free shuttle service for its guests. Hotel Zillertalerhof is another popular 4-star hotel. It’s near the action in the centre of the town and the ski bus stops just outside it, but inside it has everything you need to relax such as swimming pools and saunas. The 4-star Sporthotel Manni and Hotel Berghof hotels are also central luxury hotels that get good reviews.

There are so many good 3-star hotels in Mayrhofen that it is difficult to pick out any, but the Hotel Glockenstuhl is exceptionally highly rated by its guests, whilst the Hotel Garni Glück Auf not only gets good reviews but has an excellent location for skiers with both major ski lifts being within walking range.

There are also several small, basic but high-quality and well-liked budget hotels and guesthouses, such as the 2-star Haus Claudia (close to the Penkenbahn lift) and the 2-star Gästehaus Hornegger.

Mayrhofen Apartments

Apartments to rent include ApartHotels with smart lobby areas and concierge services, and top-of-the-range luxury apartments with saunas and swimming pools, such as Landhaus Sankt Joseph.
