Chatel Ski Lifts & Ski passes
Most skiers and snowboarders who come to Chatel choose to buy the Portes du Soleil ski pass which is inexpensive for the size of the area it covers (provided snow conditions are good). Weekenders, novices and very occassional skiers can save money with an Espace Liberte pass.
Chatel Ski Lift Passes
The choice is between a Portes du Soleil pass or the local Chatel plus Chapelle d’Abondance, plus Torgon and half of Morgins pass, called the Espace Liberte pass.
For anyone except a novice or a weekender or a very part-time skier the Portes du Soleil pass is the one to get. It covers about five times as many lifts but typically costs less than double the price of the local pass.
