Accommodation in Cervinia
Cervinia has a wide range of accommodations to suit all budgets from self-catered apartments and chalets to 5-star hotels. In general, the resort is less expensive to stay in than lift-linked Zermatt. You can also stay up the mountain in the convenient purpose-built suburb of Cielo Alto or 9kms down the valley at Valtournenche which has a lift into the ski area and is cheaper.
Hotels and Apartments in Cervinia
The 4-star Sertorelli Sport Hotel offers luxurious accommodation in the very centre of the resort, with everything you want within a 3-minute walk. Nearby is the 5-star Hotel Hermitage which offers true 5-star luxury (spa, pool, excellent service etc) in a slightly quieter location. It’s only about a 350m walk to the lift but there is a free shuttle bus in case that is too far.
The other main hub is around the Cretaz lift. About halfway up it is the highly rated 4-star Hotel Principe delle Nevi , It’s ski-in, ski-out but it’s also within walking distance of the centre. It has a heated outdoor pool. Slightly cheaper is the nearby 3-star Meubla Furggen. The 4-star White Angel Hotel is also ski-in ski-out but is even higher up the mountain, which is a slight advantage to keen skiers but a slight disadvantage to night owls who want to walk to and from the bars and clubs in the centre of the resort every night. It has a wellness centre (spa, sauna, heated pool) and fitness centre. If you don’t want all these luxuries, the nearby 3-star hotel Cime Bianche is a cheaper ski-in, ski-out option.
The 4-star Hotel Punta Maquignaz is better placed for walking (as opposed to skiing) into the centre of the town and it also has a popular pub on-site. It’s located just below the Cretaz lift but is still reachable on skis in normal snow conditions. Next door is the Hotel Europa, another highly rated 4-star with a swimming pool, sauna and fitness centre. The 4-star Hotel Bucaneve is also nearby, and also highly rated by previous guests, as are the 3-star Hotel Meublé Gorret, and Hotel Mignon which are in the same area. Not too far away, on the northern edge of the resort but still reachable on skis and only a 3-minute walk from the Cretaz lift is the quieter but still very highly rated 3-star Hotel Miravidi.
Higher up the mountain is the 3-star Hotel Baita Cretaz. It’s a true ski-in, ski-out hotel on the Seggiovia Cretaz piste. Guests staying here who want a night out in the centre of the resort can arrive in style because the hotel has a skiddoo.
Of the 2-star hotels, currently the most highly rated by previous guests is the Hotel Meynet. It’s in an excellent location, within a 5-minute walk of the Breuil – Plan Maison and Cretaz lifts. Its closest rival is probably the 2-star Hotel Perruquet which is near the foot of the Creatz lift and is normally reachable on skis.
Top-of-the-range self-catered apartments include the 4-star Saint Hubertus Resort ‘ApartHotel’, with access to a wellness centre with a swimming pool, and reception services that can organise deliveries for when you don’t want to cook. Very similar to this but in a different location near the Cretaz lift is another 4-star Apart Hotel with a swimming pool and saunas, the Aux Pieds du Roi. One down from these in price and luxuries are the 3-star Trilocale Cielo Alto apartments which come with free WiFi, a 24-hour front desk, a shared lounge and an onsite restaurant.

Hotels and Apartments nearby in Valtournenche
Valtournenche is 9 km down the valley and has a ski lift into the shared ski area. The hotels and apartments here tend to be a little cheaper than in Cervinia. It’s a quiet traditional village, but the road to Cervinia runs through it, and this can be busy at weekends. Some of the accommodation is quite a long walk from the lift so check where the hotel is and if it is not close, see if it is close to a ski-bus stop or provides a shuttle bus service.
The 3-star Hotel Grandes Murailles is half a mile from the lift but only 50m from the ski bus stop which is also convenient for taking guests into Cervinia. The 2-star Hotel Etoile De Neige is within walking distance of the lift. The highly rated 3-star Hotel Tersiva is in a quiet location away from the main road. It’s a long way to walk to the lift but the hotel provides a shuttle bus. In good snow conditions, capable skiers can also ski part of the way back to the hotel. The HelloChalet-Foyer Orange self-catering apartment is very close to the ski lift and set back from the road.
