Ski Schools in Palisades Tahoe

Palisades offers private lessons for children, adults and even for entire families. There are also several options for beginners, intermediates, and experts, including clinics specifically for women and lift-accessible tours of the backcountry.

Palisades Tahoe Ski & Snowboard School

Palisades Tahoe Ski & Snowboard School is the adult school, located near the main ticket portals in the heart of the base area. The adult ski school also has an office at High Camp, the meeting area for all group lessons. Adult group lessons begin every hour on the hour between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. First-timers can get a special package including a two-hour lesson and rental. Private lesson times can vary depending on availability and are double the class fee. For adults, a variety of clinics such as carving clinics, expert skiing workshops, mogul workshops and performance gate training are on offer.

Palisades Tahoe Kids Children’s Center

The Palisades Tahoe Kids Children’s Center welcomes children aged 2-12 and the kids are supervised at all times. Licensed toddler care is available for ages 2-4, with lessons for 3-4 year-olds. All-day and half-day sessions available. The Children’s Center is conveniently located at the base of the resort, adjacent to the preferred parking structure and the Members’ Locker Room. The 12,000 square foot (1,114 sq m) facility has a special drop-off area and dedicated parking zone for participants in the program.

Saturday Morning Beginner Telemark Clinic

Saturday Morning Beginner Telemark Clinic is a first-time package designed to teach the fundamentals of basic telemark skiing. The package includes rental equipment, a lift ticket and a two-hour lesson and starts at 11:00 am at the High Camp Sales Office.
