Getting to Gore Mountain
Getting to Gore Mountain is easy from across the Northeast. Gore Mountain is the most convenient major ski resort to New York City. At just over four hours drive from Manhattan, Gore is close enough for a weekend getaway. From nearest airport, Albany International Airport, to Gore is a one hour 30 minute drive.
Gore Mountain is located 230 miles north of New York City. It is roughly a 4 hour drive directly up I-87 to Exit 23 in Warrensburg. One advantage Gore has over its competitors in Vermont is that it is faster to reach from New York City than any of the resorts in the Green Mountain State. That means less time in the car and more time on the slopes, but also it means on a typical weekend Gore skiers beat the rush downstate back from Vermont.
