Deer Valley’s award-winning ski school offers programs and activities for skiers of all ages and abilities, adaptive ski lessons included. The ski school employs over 500 instructors many of whom have been employed at Deer Valley for 5-15+ seasons.
Instructors are easily recognisable by their Deer Valley brand green ski suits with yellow trim and are among the best in the U.S. Ski lessons based on the Gold Standard of Instruction are tailored to meet the needs of individual abilities and goals.

Max 4 Adult Group Ski Lessons
Adult group lessons ski lessons in Deer Valley are limited to a maximum of four skiers per group to allow highly personalised attention. This semi-private approach focuses on technique and skiing goals to help skiers achieve the next level of performance.
The Deer Valley Ski School meeting point is outside the Ski School Office at Snow Park Lodge (Wide West trail) with appropriate ability zones signposted. Participants must be 18 years or older and are closely grouped by ski ability, comfort level and lesson goals. Morning lessons from 9-12 am and afternoon from 1-4 pm.

Private Ski Lessons in Deer Valley
Private ski lessons offer a more customized experience with one-on-one attention to help improve your technical ability and to become more confident skiing powder, bumps or carving more powerful turns.
Options include one-hour Intro to Skiing for 1-2 novice skiers and morning, afternoon and full-day private lessons for 1-5 skiers per lesson, which appeal to many of Deer Valley’s well-heeled guests looking to maximise all aspects of their experience at the resort.
Deer Valley has more than a dozen private lesson meeting points including nine premier Deer Valley properties as well as the Jordanelle Gondola, Northside and Silver Strike lifts.
Guests can request their instructor to meet them wherever they happen to be staying in Deer Valley by special arrangement.

Children’s and Teens Ski Lessons
Teen Escape (13-17 years) allows teenagers to escape their parents and vice versa. Available for all ability groups and the average class size is 6-8. The program runs from 10 am to 3:45 pm during holiday periods. Outside these times teens aged 13-17 years can join Adventure Club (grouped by age and ability) or Max 4 lessons (usually for 18+ years).
Adventure Club for 7-12 years (maximum of six per class) and Reindeer Club for 5-6 years (maximum of 4 per class). Children are grouped by age and ability with full-day lessons from 10 am to 3:45 pm (break with lunch included) and a program designed to ensure each child receives personal instruction, and supervision and has fun with their peer group and enthusiastic instructors.
Bambi Club for 4-year-olds (the youngest age for ski lessons) runs from 9 am to 4 pm with indoor and outdoor play including lunch and designated times for ski and snow fun. The price for children’s programs includes lessons, lift tickets, lunch and snacks.

Adaptive Ski Lessons for People with Disabilities
Deer Valley and the National Ability Centre nearby in Park City offer adaptive ski lessons for people with disabilities. Specially trained instructors, adaptive equipment and other support are provided at both the NAC and Deer Valley resort to empower people with disabilities by building self-esteem, confidence and lifetime skills through sport, recreation and educational programs. Ski with a Champion
Deer Valley guests have the option to ski with one of six Olympian skiers. Maximum of six per group including children 7-12 years if accompanied by an adult and for full-day or half-day. This exclusive and memorable way of being guided around the Deer Valley ski area comes with a fairly hefty price tag attached, but if you can afford it go for it.
