St. Moritz, the famous exclusive holiday resort with it’s “dry, sparkling champagne climate” and its cosmopolitan ambience, is nestled 6,000 ft up in the Swiss Alps in a valley blessed with pristine lakes, pine forests and a remarkably deep blue sky. In summertime, this world renowned resort is resplendent in its picturesque surroundings on the edge of a pristine mountain lake. It offers the appealing combination of an unspoiled natural environment, cultural activities, sports possibilities, attractive facilities, great shopping and a relaxing atmosphere.

The hotel, built in 1913, underwent a complete renovation in 2006/2007 and is now offering 60 suites and junior suites all of which overlook the St. Moritz lake and the magical mountain panorama. The overall design of the boutique hotel, which is part of the privately owned Swiss Tschuggen Hotel Group, features a combination of modern and traditional design and architectural elements.

The 60 suites of the hotel are extremely spacious and combine comfort with the latest in-room technology. The interior design, developed by the well-known Swiss designer Carlo Rampazzi, mixes antique furniture with the use of bold colours to provide the hotel with its own unique style. Much of the antique furniture collection has been restored and given a new look through paint and new colourful fabrics. The exclusive number of suites allows our team to provide the highest level of service. In order to achieve excellence in personalised service, the hotel offers a 24-hour butler service to fulfill even the most extravagant requests.

Culinary delicacies are in the capable hands of Head Chef Alexander Kroll and his team. The Restaurant ROMANOFF offers classic fine dining with seasonal specialities and French-Mediterranean à la carte delicacies. In contrast, the TSCHINE entices with casual dining in a relaxed atmosphere, offering local products harmoniously enriched with Asian touches. The large, open lobby invites guests to read, relax and simply enjoy the atmosphere. The hotel also offers a spacious sun terrace which overlooks the lake and the breathtaking scenery.

And when the evening comes, the CARLTON BAR is an inviting spot in which to pass away the time. For late night dining our restaurants are open late. Alternatively, we offer 24 hours room service served by your butler.

The 1200 square metres Spa, which has been carefully integrated into the existing structure of the building, offers a variety of treatment rooms, private spa suites as well as different saunas and steam rooms. It also offers a state-of-the-art fitness centre and an indoor pool as well as a heated outdoor pool. The Spa, which boasts natural light throughout, has been designed with different relaxation and resting areas. Highly motivated and carefully trained staff, high quality products and a comprehensive list of selected treatments provide the perfect Spa experience. 

During the winter season, the hotel offers private ski-hire and the CARLTON SKI SCHOOL. The Carlton team is delighted to meet every request their guests have: may it be a personal shopper or a helicopter transfer to the next airport.
