Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort: Ski and stay just 3 miles from Shawnee Mountain, the Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort is an elegant, old world hotel on the banks of the Delaware River.
Located on a bluff overlooking the Delaware River, the Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort is traditionally thought of as a summer resort. The resort is famous for its 27-hole A.W. Tillinghast-designed golf course on an island in the middle of the river. However, the resort is quieter during ski season and winter prices reflect a significant value for the quality of the hotel.
The Inn, founded in 1911, evokes a turn of the century elegance that is rare for a ski hotel. Dark wood finishes and leather wingback chairs harken back to the golden age of American inns. It is a popular choice in summer, but as of yet rather undiscovered in winter despite being only 3 miles from the Shawnee Mountain Ski Resort.
The resort offers free Wi-Fi, cable, and an indoor pool. There is also a fitness center on-site as well as a business center providing fax and photocopying.
There are three on-site restaurants, the River Room Restaurant and Bar, The Gem, and the Keystone Brewpub. Each offers traditional American fare in a relaxed ambiance and each also serves beers brewed on site in the brewpub.
