Samnaun Hotels’ Early Season Snow Guarantee
Three hotels in the snowy Swiss ski resort of Samnaun are offering a unique early season snow guarantee insurance – if there is no snow in the village, you can stay for half price.
Samnaun, the Swiss ski resort which is lift-linked to Ischgl in Austria and forms the international Silvretta ski area, is high (1844m) and East-facing and gets a lot of snow every winter.
This has encouraged the Chasa Montana Hotel & Spa (4*s Relais & Château), Chalet Silvretta Hotel & Spa (4*) and the Apparthotel Garni Nevada (3 *) to offer guests a snow guarantee insurance for the start of the 2018/19 season.
If guests take out the insurance and stay in the hotels between 22nd November 2018 and 21st December 2018, and there is not at least 5cms of snow in the village of Samnaun, the guests stay for half price.
How the Early Season Snow Guarnatee insurance works
On the large field called “Pragrond” behind the Hotel Chalet Silvretta at 9:00am. the hotels will measure the amount of snow. If the snow layer is not 5cm thick, the insured guest only pays half of the price for their hotel stay for that day. The snow guarantee insurance is valid from the start of the winter season on 22nd November 2018 and lasts until 21st December 2018. Guests have to buy the insurance for their whole stay in the hotel and buy it at least 10 days before their arrival. In a double room both guests have to buy the insurance.
