It’s not just the slopes that glitter in Bad Kleinkirchheim. There are no fewer than 21 four-star hotels and a couple of five-star establishments. But there is also plenty of affordable accommodation for those on a tighter budget, such as budget hotels and self-catering apartments.

Given BKK’s history it’s not surprising that the spa facilities of the luxury hotels (and some of the mid-priced ones too) are of a very high standard.
The family-run 5-star Thermenwelt Hotel Pulverer has an in-house thermal spring and a 2,100 m² spa area with indoor and outdoor pools (the outdoor may not be open in the ski season) and 10 different saunas. The hotel is a 3 to 4 minute walk from the Maibrunn Cable Car, but the ski bus stops just outside if you want to spare your legs. The hotel also has an an inhouse ski instructor.
Very close by, so equally convenient for the lifts is the equally good 5-star Das Ronacher Therme & Spa Resort. This has a 4,500 m² spa area with 5 thermal pools, an indoor pool, an outdoor pool (not always open in the winter), a hot tub, a salt-water pool with underwater music and meditation areas, and a sauna pool. There is also a sauna area with a bio sauna, a steam bath, and a 2-floor sauna building.

The Hotel Prägant is in the centre of Bad Kleinkirchheim, opposite the Kaiserburg lift. It features an indoor pool, a sauna area, and a spa and wellness centre. In good snow conditions you can ski back to the hotel or very close to it.
Hotel OTP Birkenhof is located on the outskirts of Bad Kleinkirchheim but within 300m of the Sonnwiesenbahn lift. It has a spacious indoor pool, a bowling alley a spa/sauna area and a squash court.
Hotel Die Post is one of the most well-established and comfortable of the four-star establishments.
Hotel Sonnalm is 100m from 2 ski lifts (Sonnwiesenbahn I and Trattnig/Maibrunnbahn). It has a large spa area and its heated outdoor pool is open all winter. The St. Kathrein Thermal Spa is also close by.
Of the 3-star hotels, the Hotel Sonnenheim is highly rated by previous guests and has a good location: it’s next door to the St. Kathrein thermal bath and only 250 yards from the Maibrunnbahn lift. The Hotel Kirchenwirt is in an 800-year-old building in the centre of Bad Kleinkirchheim, and within a 3 to 4-minute walk of just about everything including the Kaiserburgbahn lift and the Römerbad thermal baths.
For those on a tight budget, the Gasthof Dalnig is a popular simple guesthouse located 600m from the centre of Bad Kleinkirchheim and the Kaiserburg Cable Car and has a sauna.
Bad Kleinkirchheim also has plenty of self-catering apartments available (including some good ApartHotels for those want some hotel-like facilities as well as the freedom of self-catering) to rent. It’s even possible to rent apartments on nine farms in and around the village.
