Founded in 1930, the Ischgl Ski School’s team of 160 qualified ski and snowboard instructors offer enjoyable and effective tuition in skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing for all ability levels as well as guiding off-piste for experienced skiers and boarders. Group lessons and private lessons for adults and children including Ski Kindergarten for ages 3-5 and childcare from age 2. Every discipline is catered for even experts will gain a lot from joining a class in Ischgl. It’s such a big ski area that you will get much more from your ski trip, and quickly be shown areas you may otherwise take days to find if you book at least a day’s ski school. The expert classes will push even very good skiers. Ischgl and Paznaunertal is great for ski touring and the ski school also offers ski touring groups but these can get fully booked, so it’s best to book early to avoid disappointment. The main ski school is for children from age 5 and Bambini Ski Kindergarten for children aged 3-5 combines childcare, play and age appropriate tuition so they can learn how to play and ski safely. The ski kindergarten can be booked daily from Sunday to Friday inclusive and children can start a course on any of those days. Non-skiing childare also available for toddlers from age 2. A state qualified ski instructor and ski guide since 1994, Gerald Kurz offers private tuition for individuals, families and groups. All abilities are catered for from beginner to expert including guiding around Ischg’s 200km of slopes and guided ski touring off-piste in the magnificent Silvretta mountains. Operating as the Tyrolean Alpine Ski School Ischgl since 2012, Gerald Kurz offers an unforgettable freeriding experience including mumerous beautiful descents and impressive powder slopes with appropriate attention to technique and safety off-piste in the area surrounding Ischgl’s marked ski area. Also, ski touring from beginner to advanced and expert level ski mountaineering and numerous ski tours with lift access to the Heildelberger Hut or snowmobile to Jamtal Hut and between 600-1,200m ascents reaching up to 3,000m.
