Ecole de Ski Buissonniere
The Buissonniere ski school, the oldest in the valley, is situated at Place de Aravet where the office is open from 8.30 am to 6.30 am daily. The school offers a variety of courses in ski and snowboarding for both children and adults, private or group and employs around 20 instructors including English speakers. Group numbers are kept small and the ski school has a very friendly atmosphere. Courses start on Sundays or Mondays and are available in the morning, midday or afternoon. The ski school offers every pupil a USB wristband with a souvenir ski photo taken by professional photographers during their week with the school. The Buissioniere ski school meeting point is at the bottom of the Mickey piste at Place de Aravet.

ESF Ski School Serre Chevalier
The ESF Ski School is Serre Chevalier’s biggest ski school with over 400 skiing and snowboarding instructors and offices in Villeneuve, Chantemerle and Monetier. The main offices are located in the commercial centre in Villeneuve opposite the Tourist office, in the shopping centre in Chantemerle and at the base area in Monetier. Offices are open from 8.00 am to 7.00 pm daily. The ESF ski school offers a wide selection of courses for groups or individuals for skiers and snowboarders. Group courses are on offer for up to 6, 8, or 10 people and they have a special play area for infants. The ESF also offers off-piste tuition, freestyle coaching, Ski du Fond lessons and snowshoeing courses. The ESF meeting points are at the main base area by the Case du Boeuf chairlift in Villeneuve, in the main square at the base area in Chantemerle and in front of the base area in Monetier.

Generation Snow
Generation Snow is a small ski school based in Chantemerle whose office is next to the Tourist office in Chantemerle’s shopping centre. Generation Snow specialises in snowboarding and freestyle but also offers more traditional tuition for beginner skiers and both adults and children. Generation Snow also has a hire shop and offers weekly packages that include ski passes, equipment hire and tuition.

Insight Ski School
Insight Ski School is run by Darren Turner, a British B.A.S.I qualified ski instructor who offers a different approach to ski coaching. Specializing in small groups only or private tuition, ski lessons are tailored to meet clients’ needs. Course categories include ‘Introduction to the Mountain’, ‘Confidence Builder’, ‘Stuck in a Rut’ and ‘Experienced skiers’ which are explained in more detail on the Insight ski school website. Darren is also involved in the innovative Ski School Apps project where he and his team have developed a series of ski instruction videos for the iPhone that are designed to complement ski instruction on the mountain. The Insight Ski School apps, along with Darren’s tuition, are aptly named and will help you understand what you need to do to improve your skiing and put those insights into practice.

Ski Connections
Ski Connections is a small British-French ski and snowboard school employing 20 instructors of British or French nationality and offering a wide range of lessons for adults and children. Quality teaching is ensured with group sizes being kept to a maximum of 6 or 8. Private lessons are also available from various points on the mountain. Ski Connections office is situated on the second floor of the commercial centre in Villeneuve, near the Tourist Office. Although based in Villeneuve, Ski Connections offers a daily pick-up service from Chantemerle. Lunch for children can be included with lessons to allow parents more time on the mountain. Ski Connections also has a ski equipment hire shop offering all-inclusive packages including ski lift passes.
