From Geneva Airport to Sierre-Siders is a scenic 2-hour journey (direction Brig) via Geneva, Lausanne, Vevey, Montreux, Aigle, St-Maurice, Martigny and Sion to Sierre-Siders. Two trains depart every hour from Geneva Airport from around 5:00 am until 10:00 pm.

Getting from Sion Airport to Grimentz-Zinal by Public Transport
There is a regular bus service from Sion Airport to Sion train station, then a one-stop train journey from Sion to Sierre-Siders (30-40 minutes), change again at Sierre-Siders for the Postbus line 451 to Vissoie, where you will need to change again for local bus services to Grimentz (line 452) or Zinal (line 453).
Local Swiss Postbus Services
An efficient bus service runs throughout the day from Sierre-Siders (Line 451) to the main bus station at Vissoie; change there for Line 452 for Grimentz or Line 453 for Zinal. The bus connections at Vissoie typically operate with Swiss efficiency. Still, if you do have to wait, the Café des Alpes (opposite the bus station) is welcoming and open until 7 pm Monday to Saturday.

Driving to Grimentz-Zinal from Geneva Airport
The motorway route from Geneva Airport to Val d’Anniviers is an easy scenic drive along the north shore of Lac Leman past Lausanne, Martigny and Sion as far as Sierre (173km / 1 hour 50 mins)., then take exit 29-Sierre-Est and follow Route d’Anniviers to Val d’Anniviers.
From Sierre to Grimentz-Zinal is around a 30-40 minutes (20-24km) drive and once you leave the Rhone Valley at Sierre, on winding mountain roads with steep drop-offs as well as stunning scenery so and take extra care when driving at night and especially in winter.
