Just behind it in terms of historic reputation and facilities, but not in customer satisfaction, is the 5-star Capra Saas Fee. The Romantik Hotel Beau-Site (also called the Sunstar) and the Schweizerhof Gourmet & Spa are 4-star deluxe hotels with gourmet restaurants, swimming pools and wellness facilities. The 4-star Golfhotel Saaserhof is among the leading hotels in Saas-Fee and conveniently close to the ski lifts.
If your budget will not stretch to 5-star or 4-star, there are plenty of cheaper hotels and garni (bed & breakfast) hotels rated 3 stars or less including the Hotel Christiania (3-star) the Dom Collection Hotel Glacier (3-star) and the Hotel Artemis (3-star) in the heart of the village. If looking for hotel accommodation close to the ski lifts, the Hotel Derby (3-star), Hotel Burgener (2-star) and Hotel Astoria are well-situated next to the lifts, whilst the Amber Ski-in/out Hotel & Spa (3-star) goes one better and lives up to its name.

Chalets and Apartments in Saas-Fee
For self-catered chalets and apartments (almost all the apartments are in chalet-style buildings), there is an even wider choice. Many have an official rating (5-star down to 1-star) and with so many properties available, it’s hard to make recommendations, other than to single out a few properties mainly because of their charming traditional exterior and convenient location.
In the 5-star chalet category, Alte Post (the old post office) is a charming 19th-century chalet building which is centrally situated in the old quarter of Saas-Fee. The Alte Post offers 140m² luxury accommodation for 6 people including space for children to play and suitable for families who travel with their children’s nanny. Chez Nuit and Old Saas-Fee are similarly pretty 5-star chalets with accommodation for 4-6 people and conveniently situated in the centre of Saas-Fee.
If looking for 4-star rated chalet accommodation close to the ski lifts in Saas-Fee, try Haus Felix which has two apartments each sleeping 2-4 people or Haus Golf which has four 4-star and two 3-star rated apartments each sleeping between 2-6 people. Both are a short walk from the lifts. Amor is a larger 3-star chalet apartment building with multiple apartments each sleeping between 2-6 people and similarly close to the lifts. Bargecho is another multiple-apartment building with a 3-star rating, which is more centrally situated but not far from the lifts.
For something quaint the 3-star rated Le Camée (Tel: +41 27 957 1452) is a delightful-looking detached petite chalet for up to 6 people just a short walk to the lifts. Pension Waldrand is a pretty red shuttered chalet apartment building immediately next to the base area and conveniently close to all ski lifts.
