Beauty is certainly in the eye of the beholder, but let’s get it out of the way early – Goldminer’s Daughter Lodge in Alta is not going to win any architectural awards. The exterior looks like a cross between a 1960’s college dorm and Soviet era housing complex. It’s downright ugly. However, it would be a mistake to judge this book by its cover as its exterior apperance belies a luxurious and modern interior.
