The Snowpine Lodge at Alta is a ski in ski out hotel at the base of Alta ski resort. The historic Snowpine Lodge opened in 1938.
The Snowpine Lodge at Alta was the first ski hotel in Little Cottonwood Canyon. The smallest of Alta’s five on mountain ski lodges, it is also the most intimate.
A recently interior remodel has upgraded the standard of accommodation to a solid 4-star ranking. Appointed in dark, rustic wood with bright accents and soft beds, the lodge manages to preserve its old-world ski charm while still providing a luxurious experience appealing to the modern ski traveler.
Rooms options range from standard hotel rooms to a family suite (“The Eagle’s Nest”) to men’s and women’s ski dorms. Unique amongst Alta lodging, the two ski dorms are so nice as to hardly merit the term “dorm.” For individuals visiting Alta, there is no better way to experience the resort than a stay in these historic ski dorms.
Room rates include a full, hot breakfast and dinner daily. The food is excellent, hearty fare served in a dining room overlooking Alta’s world class ski terrain. The Snowpine Lodge also offers serveral cozy common areas, a small spa, and and outdoor hot tub with nearby firepit. Be sure to grab a freshly baked cookie from the front desk!
