In addition to world-class skiing, Park City offers excellent apres-ski thanks to an abundance of quaint shops, galleries, restaurants and bars coupled with small-town charm. Historic Main Street is among the most vibrant apres ski scenes in the USA so be ready to have fun.

Along with everything else on offer, it’s easy to understand why Park City would claim to be “Winter’s Favourite Town”. Historic Main Street especially is vibrant at night and offers a wide variety of apres-ski experiences. Skiers and boarders can ski directly into Main Street, and a free electric shuttle bus service runs every 20 minutes providing easy access to Old Town. While having a car can be advantageous for getting around, it’s not essential.

Park City Other Activities

Park City offers a wealth of activities for skiers and non-skiers alike. The Utah Olympic Park at Park City offers plenty of excitement including a Winter Bobsled Experience, ski jumping and a museum. Woodward Park City is excellent for snow-tubing and Park City Historic Town is utterly charming day and night with quaint shops, galleries, restaurants and bars running the length of Main Street.

Besides skiing and snowboarding, activities in winter include cross-country skiing, dog sledding, horse-drawn sleigh rides, hot air ballooning, ice skating, a toboggan-style Mountain Coaster, historic mountain tours, snow biking, snowmobile tours, snowshoeing and snowtubing.

Utah Olympic Park at Park City & Winter Bobsled Experience

The Utah Olympic Park was home to the 2002 Winter Games Bobsleigh, Skeleton and Luge as well as the ski jumping events. Olympic sliding tracks are hugely expensive to build and maintain, hence there are just in North America (the other two are at Lake Placid, USA and fastest (98mph) at Whistler, Canada) and only 16 worldwide. Olympian four-man bobsleigh teams complete 1.3km (0.8 miles) the Utah Olympic track (15 turns) in just 45 seconds and the Winter Bobsled Experience for three guests and a professional driver, is a scary ride starting from one third of the way down and reaching speeds of 85mph and generating up to 4-5 times the force of gravity. Alf Engen Ski Museum at Olympic Park

Alf Engen was a Norwegian-American world class skier who set several ski-jumping world records in the 1930. He helped establish a number of ski areas and was best known for his ski school in Alta in Utah and as the pioneer of powder skiing. The Alf Engen Ski Museum will appeal to all skiers with exhibits on avalanche safety and ski patrolling, the evolution of skis, boots and bindings, artefacts from the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, and mountain sports simulator.
