Learn to Ski in Sierra at Tahoe
From private instruction and group lessons to multiday retreats and free clinics for intermediate and advanced skiers and riders, Sierra has a lesson plan for everyone.
You can even learn freestyle mogul skiing. The following is just a selection.
The Ski & Board school is the learning hub at Sierra for skiers and boarders aged 13 and older. A variety of lesson packages are offered for first-time, beginner, and intermediate skiers and snowboarders.
The Burton Learn-to-Ride (L.T.R.) Method Center offers a program designed to accelerate the learning curve of snowboarding using two simple guidelines: small class sizes of no more than four students, and proper equipment. One- and two-day classes are taught by professionally trained Burton L.T.R. instructors. L.T.R. lessons are for snowboarders aged 13 and older.
For children aged 4-12, first-timers to advanced, the Wild Mountain Children’s Center ski and snowboard camps focus on fun and sport. The program includes equipment rental, lift ticket, instruction, lunch, snacks, and a progress card. The early pick-up is an attractive option for families who want to brush up on their skills in the morning, and hit the slopes as a family in the afternoon. Reservations are strongly recommended.
