La Plagne’s new Crozats lift improves important Paradiski links
La Plagne’s new Crozats lift isn’t only good news for La Plagne, Montchavin and Les Coches based skiers. It also helps visitors to Les Arcs get the most out of their Paradiski pass, particularly if they like 2,000m descents.
The new high speed 6 person chairlift at Crozats is an important link in the fast-modernising Paradiski lift system. Replacing the old slow chair and opening in time for the 2017/18 season, it ensures a faster return from Les Arcs for La Plagne based skiers when the alternative La Salla lift is running at full capacity. It also speeds up access from the Dos Rond sector to the Bellecote glacier via the Inversens chairs, something that all advanced La Plagne skiers will appreciate (because it shortens the return loop for those who want to ski Bellecote’s famous 2,000m on-piste and off-piste decents more than once in a day) but which will be of particular interest for those based in Montchavin and Les Coches.
And what’s good for Montchavin and Les Coches is also good for Les Arcs, which is just one ride of the Vanoise Express away. A faster Crozats lift with fewer and shorter queues will quicken the journey time from Les Arcs to the Bellecote glacier and other parts of La Plagne’s area as well.
At the other end of the La Plagne ski area, the new Envers lift finally came into operation in late March 2017 so is now fully ready for the whole of the 2017/18 season. This speeds up access to the black ‘Natur’ ungroomed runs off Bioley – again something of particular interest to advanced skiers thoughout the Paradiski area, including off-piste skiers based in Les Arcs who now have one more powder playground to explore (although it’s a long trip to and from Arc 2000).
